KJETIL, FIVE QUICK QUESTIONS
1. How do your experiences from your competitive career influence the development of Stereo Skis products?
I have always skied on smaller ski brands. Throughout the 90s and up until 2006 I was very close to ski development. This was a period when we went from 203 in SL to 155, among other things. One spring day in Hemsedal in 1994, I skied 38 trips to find out which skis were the fastest. In a marginal sport like alpine skiing, this is an important part of the job. The experience I have gained through 30 years as an alpine skier, now allows me to produce the best possible Norwegian alpine skis - for both experts and beginners. Norway, with all its good skiers, deserves Norwegian alpine skis!
2. What’s your favorite type of ski day – powder, groomed runs, or ski touring?
Powder is always fun - but for me, skiing on slopes with world class conditions, is what triggers me the most! With only few people around, speeding down at 100 km/h and just feeling that the skis are lifting me down the hill.
3. In your opinion, what’s the most important thing to consider when choosing the right skis?
Safety - that you find skis that you can master and can move freely on - without being afraid of injuries!
4. If you could give one piece of advice to the next generation of alpine skiers, what would it be?
Never give up - you can always learn and get better !
5. What are your thoughts on The Lift Borne concept?
The Lift Borne makes comfortable ski clothing at a good price. Plus it looks cool - the best for children and youth in alpine skiing!
Psst – Rumor has it that Stereo Skis is planning to launch a collection of top-tier junior racing skis.
Since last fall, THE LIFT BORNE has been outfitting Stereo Skis for ski tests and events.
